Lake District holiday cottage. Near Hawkshead, in the Grizedale forest, mountain biking, walking, with Go-Ape and local pub close by. From the doorstep of Honeysuckle Cottage there are many lovely walks or rides on the forest trails from the village of Satterthwaite.

Satterthwaite is located within Grizedale Forest, a beautiful part of the Lake District nestled between Coniston Water and Lake Windermere. Satterthwaite has a thriving sense of community and is a friendly place to live. The local pub, The Eagles Head, is a great British pub with lovely local ales and delicious food.
Satterthwaite is about four miles south of Hawkshead and is perfectly placed for exploring this most beautiful part of the Lake District. The village is well placed for Coniston, Ambleside, Windermere, Ulverston and Kendal.

The cottage has recently undergone a substantial renovation to provide an exceptionally cosy, welcoming and comfortable holiday house, combining modern day comforts with old world charm. The cottage has now got underfloor heating, power showers, oak beams and beautiful oak cottage-style doors throughout. The heating is provided by the Eco-friendly heat pump.

Gone are the drafts, cold rooms and bathrooms as the holiday cottage has a lot of insulation and modern sliding sash windows to offer warm and cosy accommodation.

It is set in the pretty village of Satterthwaite. The cottage has satellite freeview television, internet/digital radio, two ipod dock systems and wifi. For those cosy evenings there is a wood burning stove in the lounge and a small conservatory at the rear overlooking the sunny private rear garden. This is a cottage we know you will fall in love with and will be wanting to return to again and again.

Within a short walk from the cottage there is the church, local pub (dog and children friendly) and numerous walks in the forest and the Grizedale Forest visitor centre is only a mile away with the Go-Ape centre and mountain bike hire facilities.
